The Indian Heartland Tour ( 6 Days / 5 Nights ) Best Season: October to April

While the myths and the legends swirl around the forts and palaces like a fine mist, India is so much more than just forts and palaces. 6000 years of evolving history have left their mark across great swathes of the country and art, architecture and culture flourished across the Indian heartland and this tour takes you to visit some of the finest examples.
Starting from the bustling Capital of India, Delhi your journey will take by train to Agra and Jhansi and then drive to Khajurao and its famous temples. This is a great way to see the interior of India – from the inside of a train as it passes through a cross section of the Indian countryside from city to city. From Khajurao you will fly to Varanasi where Hinduism is put on display in all its glory alongside the"ghats" or the steps as the mighty and sacred River Ganges flows by on its journey to the sea. This trip also includes a tour of Sarnath where The Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
