Contract Terms and Conditions
1. Responsibilities

Preparation:
Ensure you review and understand all information provided by Himalayan Journeys, including details on our website and any written communications. Contact us with any questions. -
Group Bookings:
If booking for others, you are responsible for ensuring that all group members receive necessary documentation. -
Health:
Confirm with your physician that you are fit to participate. Inform us of any medical conditions or requirements. -
Gear & Etiquette:
Bring all recommended gear and follow proper hiking and camping etiquette. Respect local customs and cultures.
2. Acknowledgment of Risk

Inherent Risks:
By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks of outdoor activities and travel, including potential injury, illness, and death. You release Himalayan Journeys from all claims related to these risks. This release extends to your heirs and family. -
Emergency Costs:
You are responsible for all medical and emergency expenses, including evacuation costs, which will not be offset against trip costs.
3. Liability

Booking Agent:
Himalayan Journeys acts as a booking agent for transportation, accommodation, and other services. We are not liable for any issues arising from these services, including delays, changes, or other disruptions beyond our control.
4. Prices and Refunds

Price Changes:
Prices may increase due to factors beyond our control. Any changes will be reflected in the payment invoice. -
Refunds:
No refunds for unused services or changes due to weather, conditions, or other factors. The trip leader may require withdrawal from the trip if safety is at risk, with no refund issued.
5. Transfers and Cancellations

Cancellation Fees:
- 60-30 days before departure: $50
- 30-15 days before departure: $100
- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund

Transfer Fees:
$100 for transfers made 30 days or more before departure. Transfers within 29 days are not permitted.
6. Trip Cancellation Insurance

Requirement:
All participants must have trip cancellation insurance. This insurance must be purchased before departure; it is not available in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, or India.
7. Exclusions

Not Included:
Round-trip airfare, city meals, passport and visa fees, tips, medical expenses, insurance, excess baggage, and personal items are not included in the trip cost.
8. Airline Clause

Airlines:
Airlines are not responsible for issues occurring outside their control. The passage contract with airlines governs the terms of transportation.
