Probably the best two week trek anywhere! The area north of Pokhara no doubt offers up some of the best trekking in terms of mountain scenery, accessibility, neat villages and friendly locals. However, it is also the most trekked part of Nepal. Not this trail though! Diverging from the trail well-travelled this trek passes through oak and rhododendron forests to climb the ridge at Kopra for spectacular unadulterated views of Annapurna South (7219 m.) to the south, Nilgiri (7061 m.), Annapurna I (8091 m.) and Fang (7647 m.) to the north and to the west, beyond the chasm of the Kali Gandaki gorge the massif of Dhaulagiri (8167 m.).
Walking through more alpine forests will bring you back to habitation in the form of the quaint Gurung village of Gurjung and then via a more heavily trekked area to Dhampus and Pokhara. However, no matter where you are on the trek, the views are not just spectacular, they are rewarding.
